Get in touch

Passport Languages Solutions have been working with local Primary schools for the last 8 years.  We are very proud of the longstanding relationships we have built with our schools and the developments we have helped them make in delivering MFL, not to mention the fantastic achievements of the children we teach.

We appreciate that every school is at a different stage in implementing MFL, which is why we take a personalised approach to the support we offer.

How do you teach MFL in your school?

PPA cover

Allowing schools to have their MFL delivered by a specialist teacher, whilst benefitting from having the same qualified and experienced teacher covering PPA.

Teaching MFL through PPA can be a great way to ensure that all the requirements of this specialist subject are being met in a budget-friendly way.

What do you get?
  • Qualified teacher with experience teaching in Primary schools, who is also a linguist and able to use this combination of skills to deliver MFL lessons at the highest level.
  • Planning, which will be designed to fit into your school’s curriculum e.g. if you plan through themes we will plan our MFL lessons to fit in with this.
  • Assessment, which will allow all staff to see the progress made by each child. Our assessment tools can be adapted to fit in with the school’s assessment policy.
  • You will be allocated a School’s Relationship Manager who will work with the Senior Leadership Team and MFL coordinator to ensure that all aspects of MFL and your partnership with us are working well.
  • PPA will be delivered by the same teacher each week (apart from in the event of illness or unforeseen absence) allowing the teacher to build relationships with staff and children.
  • Above all, we will ensure that MFL is a fun and engaging aspect of the curriculum where all children are given the opportunity to achieve their potential and learn about languages and cultures.

Team-teaching

Helps upskill staff, ensuring both them and the children benefit from a specialist language teacher and the school receives the long term benefits of their investment.

Teaching MFL through our team-teaching format is a great way to ensure that MFL is being delivered to the highest standard, whilst up-skilling your own staff and giving them a vital opportunity for CPD.

  • You tell us what you are wanting to celebrate e.g. Multicultural week, European Day of Languages, Olympics, a topic and we will design a day to fit this.
  • This is a great opportunity to make links with other areas of the curriculum e.g. PE, Music, Art, IT, please ask us for details of how we can do this.
  • All our event proposals will come with 3 costs options, but if you have a budget in mind please tell us and we will work to that.
  • When children will be asked to contribute we can arrange for letters to be sent home to parents explaining the event and asking for a contribution.

Relationship Manager

Every school we work with is allocated a relationship manager so they always have one person who they can contact with any queries and who will make sure they are receiving the support they need.

Our aim is to help schools to achieve their goals for MFL, but also to ensure that all of the children are inspired and enthusiastic about learning a language and experiencing other cultures.

Resources Bank

Every school that takes on one of our solutions will be eligible to use the Resources Bank full of activities to support learning MFL online.  The Resources Bank is designed to contain a variety of materials for both teachers and pupils alike.

It will be updated on a regular basis to include any extra seasonal materials.
