On Thursday 24th March, Passport Language Solutions celebrated its first cultural event with a Latin American Dance night. The event took place in Irby Methodist Church where students from our classes and their guests gathered to take part in some Latin American Dancing.
As our guests arrived they were welcomed with a glass of complimentary Sangria and soon found themselves on the dance floor following Victoria Cowell’s (who was our dance teacher for the evening) steps. As the evening went on, our guests were clearly having a very enjoyable evening and had picked up the dance routines and the Latin rhythm in no time. Salsa, Meringue and the Paso Doble were amongst some of the dances that we focused on all being as popular as each other.
To complete a wonderful evening and to satisfy the appetites that we had worked up, Chilli con carne, tacos and tortilla chips along with sour cream and guacamole were enjoyed by all not forgetting the Sangria of course which was perfect for quenching everyone’s’ thirst after all the dancing. This was also a perfect opportunity for our guests to socialise and meet students from some of our other classes. Passport Language Solutions would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended or was involved in our Latin American Dance night, we look forward to seeing you all at our Charity Wine Tasting event in May!
